PROJECTS UNDERTAKEN
  • Development of a Robotic Mobilizer involving a sit to stand mechanism for Paraplegic Patients with Lower Limb Paralysis. Funded Project under Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt of India, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities. A sit to stand mechanism was evolved.
    The project has developed a successful prototype that can be fabricated at competitive costs compared to similar products available internationally.
  • Developing Methodology for design of custom porous implant used in Total Hip Replacement surgery by extracting features from CT scan images of patients. Key anthropometric features were extracted from CT scans which can be parameterized to develop custom implant for any patient. The implant can be manufactured by metal sintering process.
  • Developed a computational code for generating Medial Axis shape signature using Visual C++.The code used Delaunay triangulation method for the same. This shape signature can be used to characterize 2D shapes.The program was written in Visual C++.
  • Developed a Lemonade Maker for small shops for increasing the production rate of Lemonade. Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment Funded Project in Innovate Scheme. Patent Published in Patent Journal.
  • Developed a Patient Transfer board for enabling Sitting Transfer of Patient with Lower Limb Paralysis. The Project is funded by Kerala State Commisionerate for Persons with Disabilities coming under State Government Kerala.
  • Development of a Rice Noodle maker for mass production of Rice noodle for Catering service people. Funded Project under RTP scheme of ‘Kerala State Council for Science Technology and Environment’
